How do I join PTA?
PTA membership is now open to all CES families, with no membership fee! We believe that this is the best way to keep as many families informed and involved as possible. The CES PTA will cover the cost of local and national dues, so we hope you will consider donating and volunteering to make this change permanent. While membership is now free, we need you to opt in to receive all of our good news, volunteer opportunities and event announcements.

What are the benefits of joining PTA?
You will receive regular email correspondence about events happening in school and after-school activities sponsored by PTA. You can also elevate your voice for school-wide and community based issues.
How do I get involved in PTA?
There are SO MANY ways to get involved. Attend meetings! Volunteer for a committee! Run for a board position! PTA also welcomes new ideas and initiatives. If you want to put forth and idea, don’t hesitate!
What are committees?
There are a number of committees that plan events for our students, teachers, and families. If you would like to be involved, we would love to have you! Click here to learn more about the committees at CES.
What are the Board Positions?
There are six elected positions - President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, and Treasurer. Board positions are two years in length and names are gathered in the spring.
When does PTA meet?
PTA meets the first Thursday of the month at 7pm. Details about the location (either in person or virtual) are provided in MemberHub.

How do I volunteer?
If your volunteer work with PTA or with the school will place you in the building with students during the school day, you must complete the volunteer training. The volunteer application and online training can be found here - https://catonsvillees.bcps.org/parents/volunteer_info
Volunteers are always welcome - at school, with teachers, at a PTA event, doing work at home for the school or PTA, etc. Don’t delay! Get certified to volunteer today!
